Janeu bundle is a roll of a cotton thread which is worn by the Bramhin boys in a janeu ceremony to celebrate their growth and development. Not just Brahmins, boys from other communities also wear janeu, such as Goldsmiths, Kshatriyas and Vushyas. There are three strands in the thread; one thread is worn by a bachelor; two threads are worn by a married man and three threads are worn by a married man who has a child
